This is how our film will look!
The environment is stop motion. (door swinging and light) And the character, some shadows, dust are CGI.
Direction of the light has an important role in the film so we experimented with lighting and we’re happy with the result.
Now we just have 200 + shots to animate and composite…..!

Thank you! We can’t wait to see the whole thing, too. We’ll slowly put behind-the-scenes as we progress with the film so we can release them together. Thanks for the encouragement!

jungen> Ah thanks! I wish you can, too but we’re operating this with the smallest budget possible so we just don’t have any money left to hire anybody….

Very cool, great work. The facial features of the character are illustrated (2d)? Are these going to be animated as well? Is it me or the character has the same hairdo as the character in your caricatures
?

jungen> Yes I went to Parsons and I really loved studying there. But my major was illustration and minor in animation. Sheridan is a great school, too. Good luck!

Rafael> Facial expressions are drawn and they are already animated. (it’s a bit difficult to see since it’s a wide shot) The hairdo on the bakery is a Cinnamon bun with a swirl. My hairdo is just a big black ball on top of my hair.

So cool that you’re doing your next film in the Netherlands – or starting it here
Amazing shot. Curious about the CGI and how much handiwork’s still involved in the characters. Thanks for going behind the scene. What am I saying? Thanks for all the behind the scenes so far. Very inspiring. Looking forward to more.

Frank> Yes, we’re really happy to be in the Netherlands and VERY SAD to leave. What a great country…
Tons of work in CGI itself and also to blend in with the set / stop motion. We’ll go in details of how we blended in all elements within the next few months!
